Let the 1st number be x

Let the 2nd number be 2x

3 less than the two times of the other = 2x - 3

Sum increased by 7 = 2x - 3 + 7

According to the question,

x + 2x - 3 + 7 = 37

3x + 4 = 37

3x = 37 - 4

3x = 33

x = \frac{33}{3}

x = 11

1st number = x = 11

2nd number = 2x - 3 = 19

\textbf {Answer -}

Let the first number be \textbf {x}.

And the second number be \textbf {2x}.

Now, one number is 3 less than the two times of other = \textbf {2x - 3}

Also the sum is increased by 7. Therefore = \textbf {2x- 3 + 7}

Now, according to the question :

x + 2x - 3 + 7 =37

3x = 37 - 4

3x = 33

\textbf {x = 11}.

Second number = \textbf{2x - 3 = 19}
