Let one number be = x

Then other number= 3–2x

(x) + (3 - 2x) = 37 - 7

x + 3 - 2x = 30

3 - 3x = 30

3 - 3x = 30

3 - 30 = 3x

 - 27 = 3x

3x =  - 27

x =  - 9

Then the one number =x= –9

Then the other number =

3 - 2x

 = 3 - 2x \times  - 9

 = 3 - 18

 =  - 15
