let the number be =x and y

x=3y-----------------(1)

x+5=2(y+5)--------------(2)

x=2y+10-5

x=2y+5

putt the value of x in equation

2y+5=3y

3y-2y=5

y=5-----------(3)

putt the value of y in equation 1

x=3y

x=3×5

x=15
