Let the number be x

Then,the other number = 3x

If 15 is added to both the numbers,

The new number = x + 15

New number = 3x + 15

One of the new numbers becomes twice that of the other new number. [ Given ]

 \sf{3x + 15 = 2( x + 15 )}

 \implies \sf{3x + 15 = 2x + 30}

 \implies \sf{3x - 2x = 30 - 15}

 \implies \sf{x = 15}

Now,

  \star \: \sf{One \:  number  = x = \bold{15}}

 \star \:  \sf{Other \:  number = 3x = 3 \times 15 =  \bold{45 }}

Answer:

45

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the one Number be X.

Then the other number = 3X

Five is added to both the numbers then the numbers becomes

(X+5) and (3X+5)

According to question,

3X +5 = 2(X+5)

3X +5 = 2x +10

3X-2X = 10-5

X = 5.

Therefore,

One Number = X = 5

And, The other number

=  3X = 3 × 5 = 15

the first no. x=15

another no.3x=15×3=45
