One number is 5 times another .If 18 is subtracted from the greater ,the remainder will be 3 times the smaller .find the number

so the number is x=9

Let the numbers be y and 5 y.
A.T.Q,
5 y -  18 = 3 [ y ]
5 y - 18 = 3 y
- 18 = 3 y - 5 y
- 18 = - 2 y
y = 18 / 2
y = 9
The numbers are => y => 9
                    &      => 5 y => 5 x 9 => 45
