Let the bigger number be x.
Therefore, the smaller number will be (6+x).

According to the given condition,
x+(6+x) = 16
6x + x2 = 16
x2 + 6x - 16 = 0
Dividing throughout by 2
x + 3x - 8 = 0

Let one number be X
Let the another Another no be X+6
According to the question their sum is 16
X+X+6 = 16
2X=16-6
2x= 10
X=10/2
X=5
HENCE ONE NUMBER IS 5
SO THE ANOTHER NUMBER WILL BE
X+6=5+6 - - - >11
HOPE THIS HELPS
