Given :-

  • One no. is 7 more than another
  • Its square is 77 more than the square of smaller no.

To Find :-

  • Both numbers

SoluTion :-

Let one number be x

Other number = (x + 7)

According to the question,

\sf {(x + 7)^{2} - 77 = x^{2}}\\\\\\\sf {x^{2} + 49 + 14x - 77 = x^{2}}\\\\\\\sf {x^{2} - 28 + 14x = x^{2}}\\\\\\\sf {x^{2} - x^{2} + 14x = 28}\\\\\\\sf {14x = 28}\\\\\\\sf {x = 2}

Thus, one number = x = 2

Another number = x + 7 = 9
