Let the first number be a

Second number = (a + 7)

According to question,

(a+7)^2 - (a)^2 = 77

=> a^2 + 14a + 49 - a^2 = 77

=> 14a + 49 = 77

=> 14a = 28

=> a = 2

First number = 2

Second number = 9
