Solution

Given :-

  • One number is greater than the other number by 3.

  • The sum of two numbers is 23.

To Find :-

  • The two number.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let,

  • The first number be x.

Then,

  • The second number be x + 3

According to the question,

x + x + 3 = 23

2x + 3 = 23

2x = 23 - 3

2x = 20

x = 20/2

x = 10

So,

The first number = x = 10

The second number = x + 3 = 10 + 3 = 13

Hence,

The numbers are 10 and 13.

Given :-

The sum of two number is 23

And one number is 3 greater than other

To Find

We have to find these numbers

Solution :-

Let the required number be x

Now the second number is x+3

Also the sum of these numbers is 23

Now,

x+x+3=23

→ 2x+3=23

→ 2x= 23-3

→2x= 20

→x=20/2

→ x=10

So the first number of 10

And the second number is x+3
