Let one number be x, then other number = x + 3.

→ According to question :-

→ x + x + 3 = 23

→ 2x + 3 = 23

→ 2x = 23 - 3

→ 2x = 20

→ x = $\dfrac{20}{2}$

→ x = 10

Now,

→ One number = x = 10

→ Other number = x + 3 = 10 + 3 = 13

Therefore, the numbers are 10 and 13.
