daughter's age= x+2

mother's age=7x+2

By question

7x+2 = 4(x+2)

7x+2 = 4x + 8

7x-4x=8-2

3x=6

therefore daugher's age = x = 2 years

her mother age = 7x = 7*2= 14 years
