therefore if we have to equate both

smaller should multiplied by 3 to get

it equal to bigger one. Thus equation will come

x=3y.....(1)

for second equation

(48-x) is 4 less than 32-y

therefore add 4 to 48-x. i.e 48-x+4=32-y

52-3y=32-y (putting vaue of x from eqn 1)

52-32=3y-y

20=2y

y=10

x=3×10 ( x=30) ans
