Solution:

Substitute the values of equation (1) in equ(2)

⇒ 2(x+3) = (3x +3)

or, 2x +6 = 3x +3

or, x = 3

Substitute the value in equ(1)

3x = y

⇒ 3*3 =y

or, y = 9

Thus, the numbers are 3 and 9
