Molality= moles of solute in 1kg of solvent.

392 g of H2SO4 is present in 1 litre of its solution , 392g of H2SO4 = 392/98moles = 4 moles of H2SO4 .

so 4 moles of H2SO4 is present in 1litre of its solution.

density of solution is given as 1.2 g/ml= 1.2*1000/1000 g/ml = 1.2kg/l .

Thus, 1l of solution = 1.2 kg

so 4moles of H2SO4 is present in 1.2 kg of solution .

mass of solution= 1.2kg

mass of solute(H2SO4) = 0.392 kg

thus , mass of solvent = 1.2–0.392= 0.808kg

so, 4 moles of solute is present in 0.808kg of solvent .

This means molality of solution = 4/0.808 = 4.9505
