1.) case a :

Mr. Horton's wife is younger than his mother and they are not blood relatives.

In this case Mr. Horton's wife is a doctor and Mr. Horton's mother is the lawyer.

2.) Case b :

There are two women who have blood relations with two men that is. Mr Horton's wife and her son and Mr. Horton's mother and her son and in this case the lawyer could be Mr. Horton's or his son and the doctor could be Mr. Horton's mother or his wife.

3.) Case c.

If the lawyer is a man then the doctor is a man. That is if Mr Horton is a lawyer his son will be a doctor or either way.

From the explanations in b we can say Mr. Horton's mother is the doctor.
