10 cm, 20 cm

Let the lengths of the two parallel sides of the trapezium be x cm and 2x cm respectively.

We know that

Area of the trapezium

=

2

1

(Sum of parallel sides) × (Distance between them)

∴180=

2

1

(x+2x)×12

or 180×2=3x×12

or 180×2=3x×12

or 36x=360

or x=10

∴ The sides of the trapezium are 10 cm and 20 cm respectively.
