Given:

One angle in a triangle is 80° and the difference of other 2 angles is 40°

To find:

Value of the 2 angles in the triangle.

Solution:

Let of the angles be x.

Therefore, the other angle will be x - 40° ( Since, Difference of 2 angles is 40° )

Finally,

x + x - 40° + 80° = 180° ( Angle - Sum property )

2x + 40° = 180°

2x = 180° - 40°

x = 140° / 2

x = 70°

One angle = x° = 70°

Other angle = x° - 40° = 70° - 40° = 30°.

Conclusion

Therefore, the other 2 angles are 70° and 30°

Verification:

70° + 30° + 80° = 180°

180° = 180°
