Answer:

The factors of  15 - 8x - 16x² are (3-4x) and (5+4x)

Step-by-step explanation:

To find,

The factors of the quadratic equation  15 - 8x - 16x²

Solution

To factorise  15 - 8x - 16x²

Sum of the numbers  = -8

Product of the numbers  = -240

The numbers are  -20 and +12

such that -20+12 = -8 and -20×12 = -240

15 - 8x - 16x² = 15 - 20x +12x -16x²

= 5(3 - 4x) + 4x(3 - 4x)

= (3-4x)(5+4x)

15 - 8x - 16x² = (3-4x)(5+4x)
