Answer: Equality is very important element of democratic government. In a democracy, everybody is equal in the eyes of law, which means equal status and opportunities. Equality and Justice go hand in hand and this is highlighted in the policies of the government. Equality can be achieved only when there is just distribution of resources.

Example : Special Provisions like reservation of seats in government jobs and educational institutions have been made for women.

Ans One of the key ideas of a democratic government is its commitment to equality and justice. Equality and justice are inseparable. For Example:-

  • The earlier practice of untouchability is now banned by law
  • group of people were denied education, transport or medical facilities and even the chance to offer prayers
  • .
  • practices must not continue and that justice can only be achieved when people are treated equal
