It might because of less sunlight or less nutrition or less nutrition that one leaf is showing less growth then the other one.

Leaves show higher relative growth rate
Explanation:
- Relative growth rate is refered as a growth of system per unit time expressed on a common basis time.
- Suppose there are two leaves A and B of area 5 cm and 50 cm respectively, and after a particular span of time leaf A grows 5 cm and now measures 10 cm, plant B also grows 5 cm and measures 55 cm.
- Both the plants have gained 5 cm but plant A has gained 100% of its original area while plant B has gained only 20% of its original area. Therefore, we can say the the relative growth rate is more in plant A in relation to plant B.
