Now coming on the answer of given question, I want to tell you a real incident that took place with a good boy and he is still single.
Once Ravi was in deep love with Priya but after almost 2 years of relation they broke up and Ravi lost his faith in relationship. Meanwhile he found so many girls whom he liked but never ever his guts allowed him to propose anyone. After 5–6 years of that incident when he was in B. Ed.college he found one girl Srishti. Once again he started liking a girl and this time his emotions were strong for her. He finally thought to make her his life partner and discussed this incident with his friend Ashu.
Ravi : Ashu bhai, I think I am in love with Srishti.
Ashu : That’s cool. Both of you will be a great match.
Ravi: What should I do now ?
Ashu: Go and tell her.
Ravi: Ashu Bhai, don’t you want to see me alive? I can’t do this. I don’t have such guts.
Ashu: If you won’t tell her how will she come to know about you. Why are you afraid? Nothing will happen. Go and tell her.
Ravi: I am not afraid.
Ashu: Ok. You are afraid of her rejection, right?
Ravi: No, brother. I am not worried about rejection. I am just worried that if the matter gets disclosed in the college campus then everyone will come to know about this incident and you know well how conservative the people are here. So Srishti’s image will be defamed.
Ashu: Ok. Then wait for the right time and till then enjoy every moment.
(Now Ravi was in the search of right opportunities when he can find Srishti alone and he can tell her all his thoughts about her.)
One day when they were leaving college Ravi saw Srishti was going with two girls and no one else was there so he found the situation right for him. He went closer to her as he was following her from back.
Ravi: Excuse me! Will both of you leave her alone? I have to talk to her.
(Both her friends left her alone)
Srishti: Yes, what is the matter.
Ravi: I want your mobile number as I have to talk to you.
Srishti: No, tell me what is the matter?
Ravi: Please I am very nervous and I can’t express myself right now. Give me your number. After listening to me if you will not like to talk further with me I will not call or message.
Srishti: No, I can’t give you my number. Tell me what so ever is the matter.
Ravi: Ok ( Taking a deep breathe). I want to be your friend.
Srishti: (Thinking for a moment) I will think about this.
(After this Ravi waited for her reply atleast for one month. But she didn’t come up with any reply. Then again Ravi had to follow her on the way to college.)
Ravi: Hi Srishti! You didn’t give any reply to my friendship proposal.
Srishti: (Thinking for a while) Oh you! I don’t want you to be my friend.
(Ravi after listening to this ‘no’ can’t ask her anything further and went straight away to college and called Ashu and described the whole incident to him.)
Ashu: (Getting frenzy) What she thinks of herself? Don’t she even tried to know about you? I will talk to her. I will tell her how good a boy you are.
Ravi: No Ashu, she doesn’t want to be my friend so why I will approach her again. She will feel uncomfortable. Just leave it man.
Ashu: But what about you?
Ravi: Nothing, I will forget the whole incident.
In this way Ravi again remained single because he respects all girls as much as he respects his sister. He doesn’t want to put them in trouble. He doesn’t want to irritate them. He understands that a “NO” means no.
But its my personal opinion that if he would have chosen to go after her untill she says yes, he might have got her as his life partner.
