let f(x)=2x-kx-2,

since -2 is a root of quadratic equation.
then
f(-2)=0,

2×-2-k×-2-2=0,

-4+2k-2=0,

2k=4+2,

2k=6,

k=3

Hey dear friend,

Quadratic Equation=2x²+kx-2=0
Root of Equation= -2

Substituting x= -2 in equation

2*(-2)²+k*(-2)-2=0
2*4-2k-2=0
8-2k-2=0
6-2k=0
6=2k
k=3

perfectly fine pure correct answer
