x² + mx - 5 = 0

Given -: Value of x is

Find -: Value of m

x² + mx -5 = 0

(2)² + m × 2 - 5 = 0

4 + 2m - 5 = 0

4 + 2m = 5

2m = 5 - 4

2m = 1

m = 1/2
