Step-by-step explanation:

We can find as many as solutions we want to find using trial and error method.

so let x=1

substitute x in equation

a(1) + by=2

by = 2-a

y=(2-a)/b

so one of the solutions is

 (1 \:  \: \frac{2 - a}{b} )

If I take x as 1/a then

a( \frac{1}{a} ) + b( y) = 2

1 + by = 2

by = 2 - 1 = 1

y =  \frac{1}{b}

so another solution is

( \frac{1}{a}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{1}{b} )
