Hello Mate!

Given : Radii of two circles who touch each other internally has radii of 7 cm and 4 cm.

To find : Length of AB.

Solution : This means that, length of

BC = 4 cm and AC = 7 cm.

Now we know that,

AC - BC = AB

Hence, 7 cm - 4 cm = AB

3 cm = AB.

Hence length of distance between centers if two circles is 3 cm.

by theorem of touching circles
their point of contact lies on the line joining their centres

distance between their centres = 7 - 4 = 3.....(since they are touching internally)
