let ones digit number be x
so tens digit number = 2x
original number = x + 10*2x
= x + 20x
resulting new number= 2x + 10x
a/c to question
x+ 20x + 2x + 10x= 66
33 x = 66
x= 66/33
x=2
ones place digit is 2
so tens place digit is 4
therefore the number is 24
