▪︎ Two Digit number.
▪︎ One digit is three times the other.
▪︎ Let the digit on ten's place be 10x.
▪︎ Therefore digit at ones place = 3 × x = 3x.
▪︎ The resulting number,
= 10x + 3x.
▪︎ If we interchange digits then the resulting number,
= 3×10x + x.
= 30x + x.
=》 13x + 31x = 88.
=》 44x = 88.
=》 x = 88/44.
=》 Number at ten's place,
= 10 × x.
= 10 × 2.
=》 Number at ones place,
= 3 × x.
= 3 × 2.
=》 Original Number,
= 20 + 6.
☆ Therefore the required number is 26.
{Note that number may also = 62 if we take digit at ten's place 3 times the ones place}
