Answer:

62

Step-by-step explanation:

let digits be x,3x

digit at ones place = x

digit at tens place = 3x

number = 10(3x) + 1(x) = 30x + 1 x = 31x

on interchanging

digit at ones place = 3x

digit at tens place = x

number = 10(x) + 1(3x) = 10x+3x = 13x

A.T.Q      31x + 13x = 88

              44x = 88

               x = 88/44

               x = 2

number 31 x = 31 × 2 = 62

Hence original number = 62
