Let us assume that the number is (10x + y) and

y = 3x -- equation (1)

given that,

If we interchange the digits and add to the original number we get 132.

Hence,

(10x + y) + (10y + x) = 132

Substitute "y" value here,

10x + 3x + 10(3x) + x = 132

44x = 132

x = 132/44

x = 3

Substitute "x" value in equation (1)

y = 3x = 3(3) = 9.

Hence, the number = 10x + y

= 10(3) + 9 = 39.

(As one of the two digits is thrice than the other , It would be y = 3x or x = 3y)

Hence, the two digit number is 39 or 93.
