let both the angle be X and Y

so X+Y=180----(1)

and,

x=3y-20 ----(2)

put the value of x from equation (2) in equation (1)

so,

3y-20+y=180

so y=

 \boxed{50}

put the value of y in any equation

so the value of x is

 \boxed{130}

hope it helps

\mathfrak{\huge{Answer:}}

\mathbb{GIVEN}

One of the two supplementary angles is 20 units less than three times the other angle.

\mathbb{TO\:FIND}

The two angles

\mathbb{METHOD}

Let one of these two supplementary angles be = x

The other angle will be = 3x - 20

\bf{Supplementary\:Angles:} The angles which have their sum equal to 180° are called Supplementary Angles.

=》 x + 3x - 20 = 180°

Solve this formed equation further

=》 4x = 200

=》 x = 50°

3x - 20 = 150 - 20

=》 130°

Thus, the angles will be \huge{\mathfrak{50\degree \:and\: 130\degree}}
