let the smaller side be x

other side= 2x

height = x/3

area of trap = 98

1/2(x+2x)× x/3 = 98

1/2 × 3x × x/3 = 98

x²/2 = 98

x²= 98×2

x²= 196

x =√196

x =√14×14

x = 14

thus, smaller side = x =14

other side = 2x = 2×14 = 28
