One quarter of the time till now from midnight and hlaf of the time remaining from now up to midnight add to the present time. What is the present time?

Let the time be x.

Then the equation is:

0.5x=3(12-x)/4

solving this equation

5x=36

x=7.20

Hence its 7hrs 12mins AM
