Hello Dharmad,

The rabbit saw 6 elephants while going towards the river, therefore the rabbit is going towards the river and not the elephants.

Now every elephant saw that there are only 2 monkeys with each monkey having one parrot, therefore 2 parrots.

therefore 1 rabbit + 2 monkeys + 2 parrots = 5 animals!

aryandon: parrots were not going they were being taken
dharmad: yeah
ryandas: Thank you for the correction....appreciated it
aryandon: welcom
ryandas: you missed a e
aryandon: i deliberately wrote it in short
ryandas: :)

1 rabbit saw 6 elephants while going to the river. Every elephants saw 2 monkeys going towards the river. Every monkey hold 1 parrot in there hands.

How many animals are going towards the river?

Your answer is 5.

Explanation:

  1. 1 rabbit is going towards the river not 6 elephants.
  2. But 6 elephants saw 2 monkey are going towards river.
  3. Each monkey is holding a parrot.
  4. If we add parrots, which holding by monkey.

So, number of going animals towards River are:

1 rabbit, 2 monkeys & 2 parrots.

=> 1 + 2 + 2
