Answer:

Ad=4.3cm

DC=6cm

area=25. 8

perimeter=20.6

Step-by-step explanation:

In a rectangle opposite sides are congruent and parallel so AD=BC and DC = AB

Question :-

One rectangle with one side AB =6cm and other side BC= 4.3 cm. Find it's area and perimeter and length of AC.

Answer :-

Given:

  • Length of rectangle = 6 cm

  • Breadth of rectangle = 4.3 cm

To find:

  • Area of rectangle

  • Perimeter of Rectangle

  • Length of Diagonal AC

Required Formulae:

  • Area = length × breadth

  • Perimeter = 2 × (l + b)

  • (hypo)² = (1st side)² + (2nd side)²

Solution:

Area-

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 6 × 4.3

= 25.8 cm²

Perimeter-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (l + b)

= 2 × (6 + 4.3)

= 2 × 10.3

= 20.6 cm

Length of Diagonal AC-

(In the figure, we can take ABC as a triangle and AC as its hypotenuse and then through Pythagoras Theorem, we can take out the length of AC)

(hypo)² = (1st side)² + (2nd side)²

(AC)² = (AB)² + (BC)²

(AC)² = (6)² + (4.3)²

(AC)² = 36 + 18.49

AC = √54.49

AC = 7.381 cm

_______________________________

Hence, Perimeter = 20.06 cm

Area = 25.08 cm²

Diagonal AC = 7.381 cm
