x= 5

substituting value of x in given quad. equation

therefore,

k(5) 2-14(5) -5=0

25k-70-5=0

25k-75=0

25(k- 3) =0

k- 3=0 or 25= 0

k= 3 or 25= 0

since 25= 0 is not valid

value of k is 3
