One should fast for three days must in Muharram?

It's not obligatory (fard/farz) for Muslims to fast in Muharram but if one keeps a fast for three days then Almighty Allah (S.W.T) will shower His blessings upon that person and forgive that person's sins. There is also a huge reward promised by Allah (S.W.T) for it.
