here , Let AB = 50 cm , DM = 8 cm

Let other altitude BN = 4 cm

then , AD = ?

we know,

area of parallelogram = one side × corresponding altitude

so, AB × DM = AD × BN

50 × 8 = 4 × BN

BN = 100 cm.
