two sides of parallelogram are x and 3/4x respectively. then it's perimeter = 2 ( x + 3/4x ) = 7x/2 = 70 = 7x = 70 ×2 = 7x = 140 = 140/ 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • One side of a parallogram is 3/4 times of adjacent side.
  • Perimeter of parallogram is 70 cm.

To Find:

  • What is the measure of sides of parallogram ?

Solution: Let the measure of adjacent side of parallogram be x cm and measure of other side be y cm.

Therefore, another side will be

y = 3/4 \times x = 3x/4 cm...(1)

★ Perimeter of parallogram = 2( x + y ) cm ★

But perimeter = 70 cm

A/q

\implies{\rm } 2 ( x + 3x/4 ) = 70

\implies{\rm } 2 ( 4x + 3x/4 ) = 70

\implies{\rm } 2 \times 7x/4 = 70

\implies{\rm } 14x = 70 \times 4

\implies{\rm } 14x = 280

\implies{\rm } x = 280/14

\implies{\rm } x = 20 cm

So,

➙ Measure of adjacent side = x = 20 cm

➙ Measure of other side = y = 3/4 \times 20 = 3 x 5 = 15 cm

We know that in a parallogram opposite sides and equal and parallel so all side will be 20 cm , 20 cm , 15 cm , 15 cm
