Solution :-

Let ABCD be a parallelogram with AB and BC be two sides and AE and CF be the altitudes respectively.

Then,

AB = 54 cm
AE = 16 cm
CF = 24 cm
BC = ?

Area of a parallelogram = Base*Height

We have two altitudes and two corresponding sides.

So, 1/2 × BC × CF = 1/2 × AB × AE

⇒ BC × CF = AB × AE

⇒ BC × 24 = 54 × 16

⇒ 24BC = 864

⇒ BC = 864/24

⇒ BC = 36 cm

So, length of the other side of the parallelogram is 36 cm
