Answer:

One side of the rectangle b =x

Other side h = x-1

Area of the rectangle =60m^2

A= b*h

A= x(x-1)

60= x^2-x

x^2-x=60

By completing square

x^2-x+(1/2)^2=60+ (1/2)^2

(x-1/2)^2=60+1/4

(x-1/2)^2=240/4

x-1/2=+-15.5/2

x=(15.5+1)/2. X= - 15.5+1/2

x= 16.5/2., -14.5/2

So the second one is false because dimension should be positive

b=x= 16.5/2 = 8.25m

h= x-1 = 8.25-1= 7.25 m
