To Find:-

  • Find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Given:-

  • One side of rectangle is 3cm long then the other side.
  • The perimeter of rectangle is 60cm.

Solution:-

️ ➭ Perimeter = 2( l + b )

️ ➭ 60 = 2( 3x + x )

️ ➭ 60 = 2( 4x )

️ ➭ 60 = 8x

️ ➭ x = 60/8

️ ➭ \tt { \boxed{ \: x \:  =  \: 7.5 \: } }

So,

Length = 3x => 3(7.5) = 22.5

Breadth = 7.5

Verification:-

️ ➭ 60 = 2 ( 22.5 + 7.5 )

️ ➭ 60 = 2( 30 )

️ ➭ 60 = 60

Answer:

Given :-

  • One side of rectangle is greater than other by 3
  • Perimeter = 60

To Find :-

Length of rectangle

Solution :-

As we know that

 \huge \fbox {Perimeter = 2(L + B) }

Let the breadth be x

  \tt\implies \: 60 = 2(3x + x)

 \tt \implies \: 60 = 6x + 2x

 \tt \implies \: 60 = 8x

 \tt \implies \: x =  \dfrac{60}{8}

 \tt \: x = 7.5 \: cm

So,

Length = 3x =3(7.5) = 22.5

Breadth = 7.5
