One side of a rectangular field is 8m and one of its diagonals is 17m. Find the area of the

Let BC = 8m

diagonal ,AC = 17 m

By applying pythagorus theorem,

AC² = AB² + BC²

⇒ AB = √AC²-BC²

⇒ AB = √17²-8²

⇒AB = 15m

Area of rectangle = l*b

                            = 8*15

                            = 120 m²
