Heya.......!!!!

We know that Area of Rectangle is = l×b
=>> l× b= 0.5 m^2
=>> 40 × b = 0.5
=>> b = 0.5 ÷ 40
=>> b = 0.0125 m

As you have not specified that the side is lenght or breadth so i let it be breadth .

HOPE IT HELPS U ☺

ShuchiRecites: area can never be smaller than side
ShuchiRecites: Bcz 40 m ( side ) > 0.5 m^2( area)
ShuchiRecites: and area should always be > side
rohit710: One side can be bigger than area BUT other side should be smaller than area
rohit710: see my answer clearly
rohit710: One side is 40m
rohit710: Other side is so small = 0.0125 m
rohit710: After all my sides are satisfying the question and it’s RIGHT
ShuchiRecites: ok
ShuchiRecites: bye, thanq for clearing doubt

☆Hello friend☆

First!, u have not mentioned that 0.5 is in which unit so I am taking it as km

Area of rectangle = length× breadth

0.5km = 40m× breadth

500m ÷ 40 m = breadth

12 whole 1 by 2 m= breadth

Hope it helps☺✌!
