One side of a righ angled triangular scarf is 80cm and its longest side is 1m. Find its cost at the rate of Rs.250 per square meter

Length of the highest side = hypotenuse = a = 1m
Length of one side = b = 80cm= 0.8m
Let the second side = hight = h m
By Phythagoruas Theorem ,
b² + h² = a²
h² = a² - b²
= 1² - ( 0.8 )1
= 1 - 0.64
= 0.36
h = √0.36
h = 0.6 m
Therefore ,
Area of scarf = bh/2
=( 0.6 × 0.8 )/2
= 0.24 square meters
According to the problem given ,
Cost 1 sq m scarf = Rs 250
Cost of 0.24 m scarf = 0.24 × 250
= Rs 60
