Multiply the side by 2 or double it and you’ll get every side of that square doubled.

The perimeter of the previous one will be the sum of the lengths of two side of bigger one.

The perimeter of new i.e. bigger square will be double of that the previous i.e. the smaller one.

It is asked about the area of bigger one, and then answer is ×4 of the area of smaller one.
