Answer:

Area of parallelogram is 9600cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the question it is asked to find the area of a parallelogram  here are some data which is given as follows

side =1 m 20 cm

distance from the opposite side =80 cm

We need to find the area here it is said in the question that one side that means it is  (base) and having another side at a distance means it is (height)

so

Base =b =1 m 20 cm

height= h =80 cm

Area = b x h

for finding any result we first convert all parameter into same unit here one unit need to change into cm so using the conversion formula of meter to cm we get the value

1 m =100 cm

1 m 20 cm = 100+20

                 = 120 cm

putting this value in  formula of Area of parallelogram

A= b \times h\\A=120 \times 80\\A=9600cm^{2}

so area of parallelogram is 9600cm^{2}
