One student that the water exerts pressure on the bottom of the bucket but another student says that the water exerts pressure on the sides of the bucket.what would you like to say?

The water pressure exerts on the bottom of the bucket, because the mass of the water in the bucket suppose to have a load =m*g .
The weight of water acts downward , hence the pressure exerts due to water on the bottom of bucket.
