Step-by-step explanation:

One tap can fill a cistern in 5 hours

2nd tap can fill a cistern in 6 hours

they both fill in one hour .

 \frac{1}{5}  +  \frac{1}{6}  \\  \frac{6 + 5}{30}  \\  \frac{11}{30}

therefore the both tap can fill the cistern

1÷11/30

30/11 hr.
