In the following series :

There is a difference of 2 in each term but after 10 , 12 should come instead of 14.

Hence

The wrong term = 14

Hope you like it please mark as brainliest and please follow me.

ShubhGandhi2903: See = 2 + 2 = 4 then 4 + 2 = 6
ShubhGandhi2903: After 6 the difference should be of 2 But it is increased to 4
ShubhGandhi2903: So 6 + 2 = 8 should come instead of 10
ShubhGandhi2903: hence 10 is wrong term
sivaprasath: do you mean 14 + 2 = 28 then??
ShubhGandhi2903: but in option 28 is not given
ShubhGandhi2903: but the last term 30 = 28 + 2 hence 30 is correct term.
sivaprasath: well,.10 & 14 have difference 4, as 6 & 10,.
sivaprasath: I think that's 20 not 28,. Then
ShubhGandhi2903: but you should see the first term where the difference is changed

Answer is (b) 10.

This is a very funny sequence in which the number 2 is first multiplied, then added, then multiplied, then added, then multiplied, then added, and so on.

Thus,

\large \text{$\underline{2} \times 2 = \underline{4}$} \\ \\ \text{$\underline{4}+2=\underline{6}$} \\ \\ \text{$\underline{6} \times 2=\bold{\underline{12}}$} \\ \\ \text{$\bold{\underline{12}}+2=\underline{14}$} \\ \\ \text{$\underline{14} \times 2 =\underline{28}$}\\ \\ \text{$\underline{28}+2=\underline{30}$}

Hence the sequence goes on like,

2, 4, 6, 12, 14, 28, 30, 60, 62, 124, 126, 252, 254, 508, 510, 1020, 1022, 2044,...

Seems that 10 is given in the question instead of 12 in the sequence. So 10 is the answer.

Hence, option (b) is the answer.
