One third of a number when added to 20 is 30. Can you find the number

let \:  \: the \:  \: number \:  \: be \:  \:  \frac{x}{3}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  according \:  \: to \:  \: question \\  =  >  \frac{x}{3}  +  \frac{20}{1}  \\   \\  =  >  \frac{x + 60}{3}  = 30 \\   \\  =  > x + 60 = 30 \times 3 \\  =  > x = 90 - 60 \\  =  > x = 30 \\  \\ now \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{30}{3}  = 10

Let the required number be equal to x

Therefore,

one-third of the number is- x/3

APQ

20+x/3=30

x/3 = 30-20 = 10

x/3=10

Therefore x= 10 x 3 = 30

Therefore the required number is 30.
